Christmas is the seventh studio album by the Canadian singer Michael Bublé .
To the album
The album contains 14 cover versions of well-known Christmas carols, only Cold December Night is an original composition. After the successful first release in October 2011, the album, which was supplemented by three more tracks, was re-released in November 2012 as a new edition. In addition to Bublé, The Puppini Sisters ( Jingle Bells , Frosty the Snowman ), Shania Twain ( White Christmas ), Thalía ( Mis Deseos, Feliz Navidad ) and Naturally 7 ( Silver Bells ) can be heard as guest musicians on the album. The lyrics of the song Santa Baby have been changed slightly for the album, as the original lyrics are aimed at a woman as the performer. Bublé sings “Santa Buddy” instead of “Santa Baby” in the chorus. The stanzas have also been adapted accordingly. The Ave Maria sings Buble in Latin to the tune of Franz Schubert's Ellens third song (D 839, op. 52 no. 6, from the song cycle Lady of the Lake ), also known as "Schubert's Ave Maria."
