Stuart Grosvenor "Stu" Stickney (born March 9, 1877 in St. Louis , Missouri , † September 24, 1932 ibid) was an American golfer .
biography
Stuart Stickney played golf at the St. Louis Country Club . At the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis , he was able to win the silver medal in a team competition with the Trans Mississippi Golf Association , to which his brother William also belonged . In the individual, however, he was eliminated in the round of 16 against the eventual Olympic champion George Lyon . In 1912, Stuart Stickney won the Missouri Amateur and in 1913 the Trans Mississippi Amateur .
The two brothers worked together as stockbrokers in St. Louis .
