Sudabeh Mohafez ( Persian سودابه محافظ) (* 1963 in Tehran ) is a German writer .

Life

Mohafez is a writer of novels , short stories , essays, poems, plays and portraits. Her work has received numerous grants and prizes. Her work was initially published by Arche Verlag and has been published by DuMont Buchverlag and edition AZUR since 2005.

As a writer and qualified pedagogue, she was a lecturer at the ETH Zurich in the Department of Architecture and Art Karin Sander from 2016 to 2018. Since 2018 she has been a lecturer at the Literature Institute of the University of Hildesheim. Since 2004 she has been teaching between twenty and forty workshops for literary and / or creative writing for children, young people, adults, authors or those who want to become one nationwide. For many years Mohafez worked for various non-governmental organizations in the field of violence prevention and crisis intervention. She works in school social pedagogy and as a lecturer for dissertations and habilitation theses. Mohafez was professor of poetry at the RheinMain University in 2006 and the LMU Munich in 2018.

After working in Tehran, Berlin and Lisbon, she has lived in Baden-Württemberg since 2007.
