The Sudberg is an approximately 240 meter high elevation in the extreme south of the city of Wuppertal in the Cronenberg district and at the same time the namesake for the Sudberg residential area .

topology

The Sudberg lies in the city triangle of Wuppertal, Solingen and Remscheid and in the triangle in which the Morsbach flows into the Wupper near Müngsten . The Wupper lies in the west at the foot of the elevation and the valley of the Morsbach in the east. To the south the Sudberg merges into the Schöppenberg and to the north lies the center of Cronenberg.

State road 216 (L 216) runs in the valley of the Morsbach, which leads past numerous former grinding docks. In the west, in the valley of the Wupper, the state road 74 (L 74) runs, which leads north to the districts of Elberfeld and Vohwinkel .

The western and eastern slopes of the Sudberg are undeveloped and wooded, the western slope belongs to the Burgholz state forest . The hilltop is loosely built with housing developments. There is also a sports field on the hilltop.
