The Sudberg residential area in Wuppertal is one of seven quarters in the Cronenberg district . The Sudberg survey gives its name .
geography
The 3.42 km² residential area is bordered by the Wupper in the west and the Morsbach in the east. The border line to the northern residential areas of Kohlfurth and Berghausen , however, is not clearly defined. To the west of the residential area is the area of the city of Solingen , to the east that of the city of Remscheid . Müngsten is located in the pointed south .
In addition to the main settlement Sudberg on the top of the elevation of the same name, which is divided into the districts of Hackland , Häusgen , Oberheidt , Teschensudberg and Mitteludberg , the Schöppenberg and Hintersudberg further south as well as the outlying villages and farms Berg , Prangerkotten , Beckerhof , Beckeraue , Morsbacher Berg , Engelskotten , Gockelshammer , Leierkotten and Brucher Kotten to the residential area. The settlement of Stiepelhaus is located in the west towards the Wupper . Among the abandoned settlements include the construction of the national road 74 worn places Müngsten and Wusterhaus .
The summit of the Sudberg is closed with residential houses without any large commercial or commercial settlements. A central sports field belongs to the settlement.
history
The eponymous original settlement area, Hof Sudberg, was first mentioned in a document in 1549. In the late Middle Ages and early modern times he belonged to the Elberfelder Höfeverband in the parish Cronenberg of the Elberfeld office .
