Uellendahl-West is one of seven residential quarters of Wuppertal municipality Uellendahl-Katerberg and part of the territory of the ancient city of Elberfeld . It covers the western part of the old district of Uellendahl .
geography
The 2.61 km² residential area is crossed in the west by the streets Vogelsangstraße , Wilhelm-Raabe-Weg , the Bach Eschenbeek and Bremer Straße , in the south by the federal motorway 46 and the old Elberfelder / Barmer city limits on the Stübchensberg ridge , in the east the streets Röttgen , In den Siepen and Sonnenblume and bordered in the north by the Woltersberg .
In a clockwise direction, the residential area surrounds the Uellendahl-Ost , Siebeneick , Nevigeser Straße , Nordstadt , Ostersbaum and Wuppertal quarters .
State road 70 crosses the residential area parallel to Mirker Bach . There are extensive commercial settlements in this area, including numerous car dealerships and hypermarkets.
The north in the area of down raw leather is rural or wooded. Green areas are the Mirker Hain and several allotment gardens . In the south is the Jewish cemetery on the vineyard . The infrastructure includes the St. Antonius Vogelsangstrasse clinics (former state women's clinic ), an indoor swimming pool and several schools.
