The Schrödersbusch residential area in Wuppertal is one of nine quarters in the Vohwinkel district .

geography

The 2.03 km² residential area is only sparsely populated and borders Vohwinkel-Mitte in the north, Westring and Höhe in the west, the neighboring town of Solingen in the south and Buchenhofen in the east . The Wupper separates the district from Sonnborn . In addition to the Schrödersbusch settlement, which gives it its name, and the Hammerstein area , the residential area consists of the suburbs and farms of Sonnenberg , Schieten , Boltenheide , Frohental , Steeger Eiche and Mühlenpfad .

The federal autobahn 46 cuts through the residential area, which is completely forested in the south and as a monastery bush belongs to the Burgholz state forest . Also north of the autobahn are mainly green areas with the Vohwinkeler Stadtwald . While the north is at Wuppern level, the terrain rises sharply to the south.

The Pina Bausch Comprehensive School (formerly Vohwinkel Comprehensive School) is located in the residential area. Industry settled on the Wupper in the 19th century. The former Hammerstein manor is historically significant .
