The location Mühlenpfad, partly also Am Mühlenpfad in the residential area Schrödersbusch in the Wuppertal district of Vohwinkel, goes back to an old court.

location

The Hofschaft is located in the east of the district, on a slope sloping to the north that ends in the lower northeast area on the banks of the Wupper .

Neighboring locations are: Hammerstein , Schrödersbusch , Frohental , Steeger Eiche , Schieten and Boltenheide .

etymology

The origin of the name Mühlenpfad is not exactly clear.

The closest mill was the watermill of the Hammerstein manor . The path, which can also be identified as the Altstrasse Neuss – Herdecke , crosses the Hofschaft and led to Hammerstein.

history

Mühlenpfad is split ends from Stackenberg and became independent after 1830 with 13 hectares , of which 12 hectares with fields and pastures.

On the maps from 1824 and 1843 the court is noted, but without a name. On the city map from 1930 and from 1983 on the topographic map (TK25) with names of the location.

Mühlenpfad belonged to the mayor's office of Sonnborn , separated from Haan in 1867 , which was transferred to the municipality of Vohwinkel in 1888 with loss of territory to Elberfeld .

In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland from 1888, a house with six inhabitants is given.

Today's street

The street Mühlenpfad is named after this location . It crosses the Mühlenpfad estate from Boltenheide street and continues with Schrödersbusch street.
