The Schöller-Dornap residential area in Wuppertal is one of nine districts in the Vohwinkel district . It was formed from two areas that were incorporated into Wuppertal in 1975 , Schöller , which previously belonged to the Gruiten office and the former Wülfrath district of Dornap, and a strip that belonged to the independent Vohwinkel until 1929.
geography
The 8.08 km² residential area is the second largest residential area in Wuppertal, but it is only sparsely populated.
It borders in the north on the city of Wülfrath with the border lines Düssel and the railway line Wuppertal-Vohwinkel-Essen-Überruhr , in the east on the federal motorway 535 on the residential quarters Eckbusch and Varresbeck , in the south without natural border lines on the residential quarters Lüntenbeck , Tesche and Osterholz and im West to the cities of Mettmann and Haan .
In addition to the two main settlements, the courtyards, suburbs and settlements Osterholz (with New America ), Holthausen , Holthauser Heide , Bellenbusch , Kahlenbusch , Groß- and Kleindrinhausen , Hahnenfurth , Am Heister , Bollenbergsdorf , Buntenbeck , Hanielsfeld , Nösenberg , Siepen , Steinenhaus , Am Höfchen , Niederfurth , Wieden , part of Gut Steinberg , Kirchenfeld , Radenberg , Kirchenhöhe , Bück and Düsselerhöhe to the residential area.
Schöller-Dornap is connected to the trunk road network via the federal highway 535 and the federal highways 7 and 224 . The Wuppertal-Vohwinkel – Essen-Überruhr railway lines with the Wülfrath-Aprath stop and the Düsseldorf-Derendorf – Dortmund Süd railway line cross the residential area. The Dornap-Hahnenfurth station is no longer used as a railway stop. There are concrete plans to merge the two railway lines in Dornap with a new connecting curve. The only school, a primary school, is located in Radenberg .
Large areas are occupied by five limestone quarries , two of which are still managed ( Osterholz pit by Kalkwerke H. Oetelshofen GmbH & Co. KG and Hahnenfurth pit and the Rheinkalk company ). Parts of the Osterholz forest area are in the south.
