The Sudlon National Park is located ten kilometers west of Cebu City , the capital of the Cebu Province , on the island of Cebu in the Philippines . It was originally established on 1936 on an area of 609 hectares. Since 2007 it has been part of the Central Cebu Protected Landscape , which was set up in accordance with the guidelines of the National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS). It includes Central Cebu National Park , the Kotkot and Lusaran River Watershed Forest Reserves and covers an area of 283.12 km². It is surrounded by two buffer zones of 1.28 and 6.6 km².
The flora of the national park is very diverse and includes 200 plant and tree species that are endemic to the Central Visayas .
