List of architectural monuments in the Gisborne region

The list of monuments in the Gisborne region includes all monuments and area monuments of the New Zealand town of Gisborne classified as "Historic Place" or "Historic Area" by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT) . The information comes from the register of the NZHPT. The names of the architectural monuments are based on this register. Well-known Wahi Tapu (Area), culturally and religiously significant sites and areas of the Māori , are also included in the list. However, they are usually not published.

On June 1, 2013, 260 buildings and monuments (excluding unpublished Waihi Tapu) were identified in the region, including 11 Category 1 Historic Places, 240 Category 2 Historic Places and three Historic Areas, one Wahi Tapu and five Wahi Tapu Areas. The following list currently includes the entries of Category 1, the Historic Areas, Wahi Tapu and Wahi Tapu Areas as of June 1, 2013.

The following localities with more than five monuments have their own lists of monuments, all others are summarized in the table below.
