List of architectural monuments in the Nelson region

The list of monuments in the Nelson region includes all monuments and area monuments of the New Zealand region Nelson classified by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT) as "Historic Place" or "Historic Area" . The information comes from the register of the NZHPT. The names of the architectural monuments are based on this register. Well-known Wahi Tapu (Area), culturally and religiously significant sites and areas of the Māori , are also included in the list. However, they are usually not published.

On May 1, 2013, 155 buildings and monuments (excluding unpublished Waihi Tapu) were identified in the region, including three Historic Areas, 22 monuments of category 1, 130 monuments of category 2 and currently no published Wahi Tapu / Wahi Tapu areas.

The following incomplete list contains all entries in Category 1 (as of May 4, 2013) and at least basic entries for all entries in Category 2 and the Historic Areas (as of May 22, 2013).
