List of architectural monuments in the Manawatu-Wanganui region

This list of monuments in the Manawatu-Wanganui region includes all buildings and landmarks in the New Zealand Manawatu-Wanganui region that have been classified as monuments (Historic Place Category I, II or Historic Area) by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust . Unless otherwise stated, the information in the NZHPT register is decisive for the information; the spelling of the lemmas / designations is based as far as possible on the naming in this register, unless articles are already available.

Waihi Tapu / Waihi Tapu Area (culturally and religiously significant sites and areas of the Māori ) can also be included in the list, but these have not yet been published on the publicly accessible pages of the NZHPT.

On May 5, 2013, 380 buildings and monuments (excluding unpublished Waihi Tapu) were identified in the region, 65 of which were Category 1 Historic Places and 302 Category 2 Historic Places, six Historic Areas, five Wahi Tapu and two Wahi Tapu Area. Lost monuments are marked with a preceding (†).

The following incomplete list currently includes the entries of category 1 and at least basic entries for the monuments category 2, the Historic Areas, Wahi Tapu and Wahitapu Area as of May 31, 2013.
