Suffocation is the fifth studio album by the American death metal band Suffocation .
History of origin
In contrast to its predecessor Souls to Deny , the band on Suffocation has a permanent bassist again. The song Prelude to Repulsion comes from the album Breeding the Spawn and was re-recorded for this album. Suffocation want to gradually re-record all the songs on the badly produced album. The album was also known as LP version on the music label released Looney Tunes Records. The album was presented to fans on an extensive US tour together with the music groups Fear Factory , Hypocrisy and Decapitated . In Europe, on the other hand, only a few appearances were made.

The song Bind Torture Kill goes back to the serial killer Dennis Rader , who became known as the "BTK Killer". BTK stands for bind, torture, kill ('shackle, torture, kill').
