Johann (Hans) Michael Egon Benedikt Maria Ritter and Edler von Poschinger (born April 4, 1892 at Gut Zengermoos near Munich , † March 19, 1951 in Munich) was an estate and factory owner, as well as a painter .

family

Hans von Poschinger came from the old Bavarian Poschinger family , whose lineage begins with Joachim Poschinger (1523–1599), landlord on Oberzwieselau ( Regen district ) in the Bavarian Forest , and was first mentioned in 1140. He was the son of the estate and glass manufacturer Egon von Poschinger senior. (1864–1915) and his first wife Anna Schmidt (1869–1901).

His younger brother was the manufacturer and painter Egon von Poschinger (1894–1977), his grandmother the daughter of a manufacturer and painter Henriette von Poschinger , née Steigerwald (1844–1903).

Poschinger married Beatrice Donle on August 17, 1921 in Regensburg (* October 15, 1894 in Munich; † February 7, 1952 there), the daughter of the royal Bavarian real privy councilor Dr. jur. Ludwig Ritter von Donle, General Director of Bayerischer Lloyd and President of the Chamber of Commerce in Regensburg, and Caroline Chatenay.

Life

Poschinger, like his ancestors, was a landowner and glass manufacturer. He inherited his artistic talent from his grandmother Henriette, deepened his knowledge and technical skills in painting at the Munich Art Academy and, as a wealthy man, was able to pursue his hobby extensively. Poschinger became a master of the watercolor .
