Suga-T (* Tenina Stevens ) is an American rapper from Vallejo , California . Their music was also among the alternate spellings Suga T and Sugar T. published.

biography

Suga-T grew up in the same household as her two brothers E-40 and D-Shot and her cousin B-Legit . Together with them she founded the group The Click .

In 1994 she released her debut album "It's All Good" on the label of E-40, Sick Wid It Records . It was able to place itself in the genre-specific "R&B Albums" charts of Billboard magazine at position 88.

After Sick Wid It Records had signed a distribution agreement with Jive Records , Suga-T's second full-length player "Paper Chasin '(4Eva Hustlin')" was released in 1996. It became their biggest commercial success, ranking at number 193 on the Billboard 200 .

Apart from the music recorded as part of The Click, none of their works reached official sales lists afterwards.

Nevertheless, the two albums "Gettin 'It" and "Be About It!" Followed in 2000 and 2006. The New Me ". After the mixtape "The Return of Suga - The Best Is Yet To Come ..." published in 2010, the two EPs "The All Woman Show" (2011) and "Tenina - Unbreakable Me" (2013) were released.

In addition, in 2014 Suga-T supported the then Mayoress of Oakland , Jean Quan , in her unsuccessful re-election campaign with the single "Woman - We Rise Together". Part of the proceeds were donated to Quan's campaign.

Suga-T also owns Hip Hop Mom Productions and Sprinkle Me Boutique, which sell wellness products it creates. Furthermore, she works as a coach and works on a social project that aims to reintegrate young people into their families and society in order to prevent them from drifting into crime.
