Sugar Ramos
Ultiminio "Sugar" Ramos Zaqueira (* 2. December 1941 in Matanzas , Cuba ; † 3. September 2017 in Mexico City ) was a Cuban - Mexican boxer in the featherweight . He was trained by Angelo Dundee as well as by Kid Rapidez .

On October 5, 1957, he successfully made his professional debut against Rene Acre with a classic knockout win in round 2. On March 21, 1963, Ramos captured the world championship belt of the WBC and WBA associations when he defeated the American Davey Moore in a 15-round fight in the 10th round by giving up. Davey Moore succumbed to his injuries four days later.
He defended these titles against Rafiu King , Mitsunori Seki and Floyd Robertson . In September 1964 he lost the belt to Vicente Saldivar by giving up in the 12th round.
In 1972 Ramos ended his career.
