A handsome handyman named Dale who fixes the kitchen in their home. Still, Kim can only think of Sugar to help her with the styling. She doesn't really like her idea of sleeping with Dale anymore.
When she comes home a little later, Dale is having sex with her mother. Kim runs out of the house in shock. She is appalled that her mother is cheating on her father and not telling him about it. Kim seeks support from Sugar.
However, Sugar is very selfish. She is only there for her friend when it is to her own advantage and she keeps taking advantage of Kim. Meanwhile, Kim tries again and again to break away from her obsession with Sugar.
When Sugar stabbed her attacker with a broken bottle after attempting rape, she called Kim in tears. This is there immediately. The two steal a car and use Kim's mother's credit card. Sugar and Kim find each other and kiss passionately. However, they are caught by the police a little later. Sugar, who already had a number of previous convictions, has to go to jail, while Kim can stay at home with her parents. Nevertheless, Kim comes to visit Sugar every week in prison and tells her about her experiences.
While Kim has her first lesbian sex experience and falls in love again, Sugar misses sex with men in jail. When Sugar is released from prison, she wants to move in with Kim, otherwise she has no other place to stay. However, Kim has just started a new relationship with DJ Saint and doesn't find the idea that great. Eventually, however, Kim agrees. Living with Sugar leads to some conflict, both between Kim and Saint and between Kim and Sugar, and so Sugar eventually moves into her own apartment.
Kim and Saint's relationship is getting closer and closer and Saint wants to move in with Kim. Kim doesn't know if she's ready and goes to Sugar's apartment for a party. Sugar advises Kim to move to Saint. Kim drives to Saint that same evening and moves in with her. The next morning, Sugar is at the door. Her apartment caught fire from a cigarette that Kim threw away and burned down completely. Sugar no longer has a place to stay and wants to move in with Kim and Saint.
