Sui is a place in Pakistan ( Balochistan Province ).

geography

Sui is about 650 km north of Karachi .

The place is the main town of the eponymous Tehsils in the northwest of the Dera Bugti district . The Tehsil is divided into the Union Councils Gandoi, Gulzar, Loti and Sui .

economy

The city's economic boom began in the early 1950s when one of the world's largest natural gas fields was discovered near Sui. Natural gas production began in 1955 when pipelines were laid to Hyderabad , Karachi and Sukkur . In 1958 Multan was connected to the line, later Lahore , Faisalabad and in 1970 Hatar . The natural gas also serves as a raw material for the production of artificial fertilizers.
