Suk Eun-mi (born December 25, 1976 ) is a South Korean table tennis player who won the silver medal in doubles at the 2004 Olympic Games .
Career
Suk Eun-mi had many successes in doubles competitions with her partner Lee Eun-sil . In 2000 she reached the semi-finals of the Asian Championships in singles and won doubles. She also won the doubles competition at the Asian Games in 2002. In 2000, 2002 and 2004 the doubles came third at the Pro Tour Grand Finals .
From 1997 to 2004 she was nominated six times for world championships . In 1997 , 2000 , 2001 and 2004 she won bronze with the South Korean women's team. In addition, she was eliminated in doubles in the semi-finals in 2003 .
Her greatest success was winning the silver medal in doubles at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , when she and Lee Eun-sil lost 4-0 to the Chinese Wang Nan / Zhang Yining in the final . Already in 2000, Suk Eun-mi had qualified for the Olympics, but could there not win a medal.
In the ITTF world rankings , Suk Eun-mi was ranked 24th at the end of 1999. After 2004 she stopped appearing internationally.
