Sulcorebutia camargoensis is a species of plant in the genus Sulcorebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae).

description

Sulcorebutia camargoensis grows individually and sprouts abundantly with age. The ball-shaped, gray-green to leaden bodies reach diameter of 1 to 2 centimeters and have up to 20 centimeters long thick taproot . The areoles are elongated like a line. Central spines are absent. The delicate 9 to 11 radial spines are in a comb-shaped manner and point downwards sideways. They are grayish white and 2 to 3 millimeters long.

The yellow, golden or orange-yellow flowers are about 2.5 inches long and have the same diameter. The red-brown fruits have a diameter of 5 to 6 millimeters.

Distribution and systematics

Sulcorebutia camargoensis is widespread in the Bolivian department of Chuquisaca in the mountains northeast of Camargo . The first description was published in 2004 by Willi Gertel and Hansjörg Jucker .
