Sulcorebutia pulchra is a species of plant in the genus Sulcorebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae).
description
Sulcorebutia pulchra grows sprout or rarely individually with light to dark green, sometimes violet-tinged bodies. These reach heights of 2 to 3 centimeters with a diameter of 2 to 4 centimeters and have a long taproot . The 7 to 12 comb-shaped arranged thorns lie more or less on the body and are only rarely a little more protruding or curled. They are whitish to brownish and 5 to 30 millimeters long. Central spines are absent or can hardly be distinguished from the radial spines.
The light to dark purple flowers have a lighter throat and are up to 3 to 5 centimeters long and have the same diameter. The fruits are greenish or brownish and have a diameter of 5 to 7 millimeters.
Distribution, systematics and endangerment
Sulcorebutia pulchra is common in the Bolivian department of Chuquisaca in the province of Jaime Zudáñez .
The first description as Rebutia pulchra was published in 1970 by Martín Cárdenas (1899–1973). John Donald Donald (1923-1996) placed it in 1971 in the genus Sulcorebutia . A synonym is Weingartia pulchra (Cárdenas) FHBrandt .
In the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN , the species is listed as " Least Concern (LC) ". H. listed as not endangered.
