The Sultan Qaboos Sports Center ( Arabic مجمع السلطان قابوس الرياضي, DMG maǧmaʿ as-sulṭān Qābūs ar-riyāḍī ), among locals also Bawschar (بوشر, DMG Baušar ), is a state multi-purpose sports facility located in the municipality (arab. Niyaba ) of al-Ghubra in the administrative district (arab. Wilaya ) Bawshar in the governorate (arab. Muhafaza ) Muscat . It is named after Sultan Qaboos .

The central sports facility of the sports center is the stadium . Although it is currently primarily used as a football stadium , it is also suitable for athletics events. Originally, the stadium was designed for 49,000 spectators. However, as part of a renovation, the capacity was reduced to 39,000 spaces. The stadium hosted the golf cup in 1984, 1996 and most recently in 2009 . The 2nd CISM World Soccer Cup took place here from January 13th to 20th, 2017 , in which 16 national military soccer teams took part. The Bundeswehr national football team was also there, and after surviving the group phase, they made it to the quarter-finals. However, the Bundeswehr team was eliminated from the Syrian team.

The sports center also has tennis courts, a multi-purpose sports hall and a swimming pool with a 50-meter swimming pool , a 25-meter swimming pool and a diving pool with a 10-meter diving platform.
