Sulzbach ( Malsch in the district of Karlsruhe with 936 inhabitants (as of August 2013). Sulzbach is elevated in the foothills of the Rhine plain, between Karlsruhe and Rastatt .

To the east, Sulzbach borders the forest of the Hausberg, the 425 m high Scheuerberg on the western edge of the northern Black Forest . Otherwise fields and orchards are adjacent. An ancient Roman road runs through the place.
history
Sulzbach was first mentioned in a document in 1115. Numerous finds, such as a Jupiter column and masonry from a Roman crossing station on the old Roman road, indicate that the place is much older. On January 1, 1971, Sulzbach was incorporated into Malsch as part of the district reform with the consent of a large majority of the population.

The place name is derived from the Old High German " sulze ", which means something like salt water. The name describes a place on a salty mountain stream. Other names were
