Sun Qinghai ( Chinese  孫清海  /  孙清海 , Pinyin Sūn Qīnghǎi * 18th January 1988 in Harbin , province of Heilongjiang ) is a Chinese skiers .

Career

Sun has been participating in competitions organized by the Fédération Internationale de Ski since 2005 . He ran his first World Cup race in March 2006 in Changchun , which he finished in 34th place. He got his first World Cup points in February 2007 in Changchun with the 25th place in the sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2007 in Sapporo , he finished 48th in the sprint. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he reached 21st place in the sprint and 19th place in the team sprint. His best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme were 30th place in the sprint and 22nd place in the team sprint. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he came 72nd place over 15 km classic and 28th place in the sprint. In February 2017 he won the silver medal in the sprint at the Winter Asian Games in Sapporo. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he ran 98th place over 15 km freestyle and 27th place together with Wang Qiang in the team sprint.
