Wang Qiang ( Chinese  王强 , Pinyin Wáng Qiáng ; born April 23, 1993 ) is a Chinese cross-country skier .

Career

Wang has been participating mainly in FIS races since 2010 . His best placings at the 2017 Asian Winter Games in Sapporo were fifth in the sprint and fourth in the relay. In November 2017, he started the World Cup in Ruka for the first time and achieved 112th place in the sprint and 104th place over 15 km classic. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he finished 66th in the sprint, 59th in the 50km mass start race and 27th in the team sprint with Sun Qinghai . At the beginning of January 2019 he won the Vasaloppet China over 50 km classic. His best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol were 28th place in the sprint and 13th place in the relay. In the 2019/20 season he scored his first World Cup points in Davos with 25th place in the sprint and in Planica with 17th place in the sprint.
