Sundance Film Festival / Best Director - Foreign Documentary
Winner of the directing award ( World Cinema Directing Award: Documentary ) for the best director of a foreign documentary in the competition at the annual Sundance Film Festival .
The award has been presented since the 25th edition of the film festival in 2008. A jury, which changes annually and consists of three members and generally consists of predominantly non-American filmmakers, decides on the award. So far, no director has won the award more than once.
