The Sundermann stones with the Sprockhoff no. 921 are a megalithic tomb of the Neolithic western group of the funnel cup culture near Gretesch , a district of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony . It originated between 3500 and 2800 BC. Chr.

location

The half-destroyed passage grave is not far from the Belmer brook , west of the Sundermann farm and is therefore known as the Sundermann stones.

description

The system consists of a 23 meter long stone chamber in a northeast-southwest direction. Some of the southern bearing stones are missing, the stones on the northern long side have been preserved, the western end stone is missing. Four of the original eight capstones still exist. The two-meter-wide, slightly double-trapezoidal Emsland Chamber extends in the middle up to 2.6 meters. The entrance is in the middle of the southern long side. It is no longer possible to check whether the system had the usual surrounding stones.

Georg Graf zu Münster (1776-1844) found six arrowheads in the plant Feuerstein , a boulder lobe , an amber disc and a pierced bronze plate .
