The Sunshine Kids , formerly the Wetzlar Chick and Children's Choir , were a children's choir of Christian children's music under the direction of Konny Cramer .
history
The Sunshine Kids have their roots in the children's choir work of the Christian songwriter Margret Birkenfeld . Since 1961, this led the Wetzlar children's choir and shortly afterwards founded for young singers to Wetzlar chicks choir . At the beginning of the 1990s , both choirs were merged to form the Wetzlar Chick and Children's Choir , and in 1995 Margret Birkenfeld officially handed over the choir management to the music teacher Konny Cramer. In the next few years both musicians initially shared the choir direction. With Margret Birkenfeld's final exit, Konny Cramer decided to change its name and renamed the band of singers Sunshine Kids . After a guest appearance in 1997 for Jochen Rieger's Israel concept Freue dich, Israel , the choir released its first album under this name in 1998 with the children's musical Arche-Ologie . In the following years the children's choir of over 60 voices between the ages of 5 and 15 released numerous other music publications for children, in addition to song albums, especially singspiele and musicals . At the beginning of 2010, the choir's last production was released with the concept project Meine Kinder-Musikbibel .
