Gorzelniaski Omnibusbetrieb is a bus transport company in Flensburg which, in addition to regional bus routes, also operates canoe rental. The company was founded in 1924 and has been running the subsidiary Fördebus (former bus division of Fördereederei-Seetouristik ) together with Hansen-Borg since 2014 .

history

Old company logo until the 1990s

In 1924, Alfons Gorzelniaski founded the transport company with a converted 14-seat vehicle. After this had grown, it had to give vehicles to the Wehrmacht during the Second World War . In 1942, wood gas powered buses continued to operate .

From 1945 the regular traffic in the area of the districts Schleswig and Flensburg-Land was taken up. Ten years after the war, more modern buses were purchased. In 1956 the first European trip to Paris was offered for DM 98  .

Alfons Gorzelniaski junior took over the company in 1971 and built the current company headquarters on Friedenshügel the following year . In 1974 he founded Omnibushandel-Nord, which was the first Setra workshop in Schleswig-Holstein at the time . In the period that followed, further depots were acquired in Tarp and Eggebek .

Daughter Miriam Gorzelniaski and her husband Sven L.-Gorzelniaski have joined the family business since 1996 . In 2014, together with the bus company Hansen-Borg from Handewitt , the subsidiary of the former Fördereederei-Seetouristik Fördebus based in Schleswig was taken over. This operates the overland line between Eggebek and Holnis via Glücksburg and, since 2018, also the AFAG lines.
