The Mercedes-Benz Medio is a midibus from Daimler AG or its subsidiary EvoBus based in Kirchheim / Teck . The bus was available in two versions:

The Mercedes-Benz Medio was first presented at the Commercial Vehicle IAA 2000. It was the first midibus developed by the midibus competence center of EvoBus and has 26 seats for the travel variant and 40 for the scheduled variant. The bus is 7.6 m long and has a gross vehicle weight of 8.2 tons. The wheelbase is 4250 mm.

The basis of the Mercedes-Benz Medio was the chassis of the Mercedes-Benz Vario van . The bus was developed by Mercedes-Benz and the Italian body manufacturer Tomassini, which has been integrated into the EvoBus since the beginning of 2000.

At just under eight meters, the Medio closed the last omnibus gap in the Mercedes-Benz group. It offered the same equipment as the Tourismo and Travego coach vehicle classes . A direct successor was not developed; the Mercedes-Benz Teamstar has similarities with the structure of Ernst Auwärter .
