Battery and charging technology

Drive model with batteries

The lithium-ion battery with a nominal energy content of 80 kWh consists of 384 pouch cells and weighs a total of around 650 kilograms. The battery contains two modules with 48 cells each and four modules with 72 cells. Overall, the nominal capacity is 210 Ah. The battery can be actively cooled and heated via a water- glycol circuit. It is produced by the Daimler subsidiary Deutsche Accumotive in Kamenz , Saxony .
