Mercedes-Benz CLA

The Mercedes-Benz CLA is a mid-range passenger car from the German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz . The manufacturer describes the sedan as a four-door coupé and the station wagon as a shooting brake . The first generation ( C 117 or X 117 ), which has been built since 2013, is based on the Mercedes-Benz W 176 . The second generation ( C 118 ) based on the Mercedes-Benz W 177 was presented at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2019.

Registration numbers

From 2012 up to and including December 2019 a total of 123,498 Mercedes-Benz CLAs were newly registered in Germany. Of these, 41 vehicles were already registered in 2012, i.e. before the official start of sales. Following the launch of the CLA Shooting Brake in 2015, the number of registrations has roughly doubled.
