The Mercedes-Benz O 345 , also known as Conecto since 2002 , is a series of city and intercity buses that Mercedes-Benz has been building in Hoşdere , Turkey , since 1996 . They are mainly intended for the Eastern European market. Up until 2007 it was a high-floor or mid- floor construction , after which it was replaced by low-floor vehicles based on the Mercedes-Benz Citaro .
In addition to the medium- floor standard model Conecto C , the first generation of the articulated bus variant Conecto G and the high-floor variant Conecto H were built. In addition to the standard length, the high-floor version was also offered with a length of 13 meters ( Conecto MH ). In addition, a high-floor version was available for overland traffic ( Conecto Ü ), which was the only one that was also sold in Germany.
This was replaced by the new Intouro in early 2007 . In 2007, the Conecto C and Conecto G were also replaced by a successor model in a low-floor design. This is a technically simplified version of the Citaro or Citaro G, the first generation of which looks similar to the new model. The name Conecto was retained.
