The Suomy S.pA is an Italian manufacturer of motorcycle helmets . The company was founded in 1997 by Umberto Monti in Inverigo , Province of Como .
In 2000, a contract was signed with the motorcycle manufacturer Ducati , which guaranteed Suomy exclusive rights to market the name.
Well-known racing drivers such as Max Biaggi , Troy Bayliss , Loris Capirossi and James Toseland use helmets from Suomy. In 2009 Umberto Monti founded the partner company Suomy Latino America in Argentina , where helmets are manufactured for the South American market. Helmets are also produced exclusively for the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM . By 2013, the brand had won 19 world championship titles in various classes and series.
