The Surf Rock (of English surfing , surf, spray ' ; in Chile Islote Barrera, in Argentina roca Rompiente called) is a low cliff rocks in Marguerite Bay before Fallières coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 800 m west of the western tip of Neny Island and 300 m southeast of Runaway Island .

Participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill carried out a rough map in 1936. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) specified this in 1947. The rock is named after the waves breaking here .
