Susann Klossek

Susann Klossek (born December 14, 1966 in Leipzig ) is a German writer , journalist , painter and blogger .

Following her studies in German and Slavic studies in Leipzig, she completed an apprenticeship as a business clerk. After reunification , she moved to Switzerland in 1990 and sold crude oil distillation systems to Russia for a Zurich company . Since 1999 she has worked as a producer and editor for various media companies in Zurich.

In 2003 her first volume of poetry was released, Nothing and Again Nothing . This was followed by a novel , other volumes of short stories and poetry, as well as a number of articles in anthologies and literary magazines. For Tropenfieber , a collection of short stories in which she describes autobiographical travel experiences in a humorous way without taboos, Klossek received a works grant from the Thalwil community in 2008 .

From 2011 to 2013 she wrote gags for the satirical show Giacobbo / Müller on SRF 1 .

In 2016, Freiraum-Verlag published The Man in the Yellow Dress - Song of the Flying Foxes, a lyrical battle of words between Klossek and the Augsburg writer Benedikt Maria Kramer .

In spring 2017, Klossek spent two months at the Alice Boner Institute in Varanasi as part of a foreign scholarship .

Susann Klossek lives in Zurich.
