Susann Schenk
Susann Schenk ( Upper Sorbian Susann Šenkec , * 1976 in Dresden ) has been Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Sorbian People since November 22, 2016 . From 2008 to 2018 she worked for the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) based in Flensburg , since 2013 as its general secretary.
Life
Susann Schenk is a Lusatian sorbent and grew up in Bautzen and Merka . After completing her Abitur at the Sorbian Gymnasium Bautzen , she studied in Leipzig and Dresden. She graduated with a degree in communications from the Berlin University of the Arts .
Under her leadership, FUEN opened the office of the House of Minorities in Flensburg in 2014 and the European office in Brussels in 2015 as well as the representation of FUEN and the Association of German Minorities in Berlin. Schenk has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Sorbian People since 2014 and has been its chairman since 2016.
Schenk has four children and lives with her family in Oxlund .
