Susanna Tausendfreund (born April 24, 1963 in Munich ) is a Bavarian lawyer , politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and Mayor of Pullach .

Life

Susanna Tausendfreund attended the Pullach elementary school and then the Pullach grammar school until she graduated from high school. She studied law at the LMU Munich , completed her legal traineeship in Munich and passed her state examination there. Since then she has been working as a lawyer.

Susanna Tausendfreund joined the Greens in 1982. In 1984 Susanna Tausendfreund was elected to the Pullach municipal council for the first time at the age of 21 - and at the same time moved into the district council. She has been re-elected as district councilor without interruption to this day. From 1990 to 1998 she held the office of group leader. During the 2008–2014 term of office, she was deputy to the district administrator of the Munich district, Johanna Rumschöttel . Since May 2014 she has been one of four other deputies of District Administrator Christoph Göbel .

From 1996 to 1998 she was a member of the board of directors of the Petra Kelly Foundation . She is currently a member of the board of the local political association of the Bavarian Greens "Greens and Alternative in the Councils of Bavaria (GRIBS)", which she has helped to build since 1986.

In the 1998 state elections, she was elected to the Bavarian state parliament for the first time via the Upper Bavarian district list. There she was a green member of the Committee for Local Affairs and Homeland Security . She was also a member of the Judges Election Commission . The Greens sent her to the investigative committee set up in 2001 to “examine any inadmissible state influence on the part of Bavarian officials on the criminal investigation against Karlheinz Schreiber u. a. ” and elected her as spokesperson for domestic, communal and housing policy. She was a member of the state parliament until 2003 and again from 2008 to 2013.

In the period 2008-2013 she was domestic policy spokeswoman for the parliamentary group and a member of the committee for constitution, law, parliamentary questions and consumer protection , the committee for local affairs and internal security , the parliamentary control body , the judges election commission of the state parliament and the committee of inquiry Investigation of the neo-Nazi series of murders and possible failure of the authorities (see Ceska series of murders ).

She lost her mandate in the 2013 state election and is no longer a member of the Bavarian state parliament. On March 30, 2014, she was elected mayor of Pullach in the runoff election with 69.96% of the vote.

In this function, she is also the first chairwoman of the VHS in Pullach, chairwoman of the Otfried-Preußler-Gymnasium, a member of the shareholders' meeting and the supervisory board of the Pullach im Isartal mbH housing company and chairwoman of the administrative board of the local authority VBS (supply, construction and service company) . In addition, she is a member of the general assembly of the association for “Securing supra-local recreational areas in the districts around Munich”.

Since 2014, Tausendfreund has also been a member of the board of directors of the Bavarian Association of Cities and a member of the board of the Bavarian Municipal Association, district of Munich. In July 2014 she initiated the establishment of the voluntary helpers group for refugees and integration in Pullach.

Awards

  • The district honored Susanna Tausendfreund for "25 years of local political commitment in the Munich district". The award took place in 2009, after 27 years of active district politics.
  • On June 1st, 2015 Susanna Tausendfreund received the municipal medal of merit of the Free State of Bavaria in bronze.
  • On May 15, 2018, Susanna Tausendfreund was awarded the Ring of Honor of the District of Munich for her extraordinary commitment. The ceremony took place in the Wolfschneiderhof in Taufkirchen. The district council is allowed to award a total of 29 rings of honor to deserving district citizens.
