Susanne Gross

Susanne Gross (* 1960 in Marburg ) is a German architect , urban planner and university lecturer at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Life

Gross began studying philosophy at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in 1978 , but dropped out. From 1979 to 1986 Gross studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University , and from 1986 to 1988 she worked with Joachim Schürmann in Cologne . From 1989 to 1990 she worked at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in London . From 1990 to 1994 Gross completed a postgraduate course in architecture at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf with Ernst Kasper , Laurids Ortner and Elia Zenghelis and became a master class student at the academy. From 1990 to 1997 she was a research assistant at the chair for urban planning at RWTH Aachen University, since 1993 Gross worked at Kister Scheithauer & Partner and since 1997 has been a partner at Kister Scheithauer Gross - Architects and Urban Planners GmbH in Leipzig . She has been a visiting professor at the Edinburgh College of Art since 1998 . From 2001 to 2004 she was a lecturer at the “Academy for Architecture” in Maastricht . Since April 2004 she has been a professor at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal for the basics of design and building science.
