Susanne Schott-Lemmer

Susanne Schott-Lemmer (nee Schott ; * 1965 in Hanover ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2001 to 2006 she was mayor of the city of Langenhagen . From September 2015 to June 2016 she was a board member of the Diaconal Work of Protestant Churches in Lower Saxony .

Life

After graduating from high school in Langenhagen , Susanne Schott-Lemmer studied law, sociology and philosophy and then worked as a research assistant at the University of Hanover .

After various research projects and publications , Susanne Schott-Lemmer earned her doctorate in law with a political biography on Curt Rothenberger . From 2006 to 2010 she worked as a lawyer and was then a managing director of the Evangelical Aid Association.

From 1992 she was parliamentary group spokeswoman in the local council of Langenhagen-Kaltenweide , became local mayor there in 1996 and moved into the council of the city of Langenhagen. In 1999 she became chairwoman of the CDU local association and a year later deputy in the Langenhagen city association. From 2001 to 2006 Susanne Schott-Lemmer was the mayor of Langenhagen.

On September 24, 2006, Dr. Susanne Schott-Lemmer was not re-elected as Langenhagen's mayor in the local elections in Lower Saxony with 47.7 percent in the runoff election. Your opponent Friedhelm Fischer (SPD) got 52.3 percent and won with 655 votes.
