Susanne Wieseler

Susanne Wieseler , née Susanne Herwig (* 1969 in Essen ) is a German television presenter , journalist , filmmaker and author .

Life

Wieseler was born into a family of miners. She has a brother. After attending grammar school , which she graduated with a high school diploma, she studied journalism at the Technical University of Dortmund . Later she added economics . She then wrote reports for the Westfalenpost and the small Ruhr newspaper . Her traineeship as a journalist led her to Deutsche Welle . She later switched to the WDR in Cologne as a reporter and presenter . She also made reports for the German Press Agency in Bonn .

From 1994 to 1995 moderated Wieseler for the ZDF youth mission colon . This was the first time she came into contact with television. She then worked in the ZDF internal policy editorial office. At WDR she moderated the local time from Cologne and from 1999 the current hour . She has made several films on socially relevant issues.

In 2006 Susanne Wieseler wrote the book “Simply kriegen Kinder: How family makes you happy” ( ISBN 354836893X ).

She is married with a son and a daughter. She lives with her family in Cologne.
