Colon (ZDF)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Colon was a youth program on ZDF . It was broadcast from 1987 to 1995.

The program ran fortnightly every Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. for 45 minutes, initially alternately as a talk show and as a music program. Since the quotas for the talk variant were much higher, the music magazine was discontinued in 1988. Instead, there were more talk shows and, later on, their own specialty programs Doppelpunkt vor Ort, on Thursdays after 10 p.m. according to the Today Journal .

Colon came live from the Mainz cultural center KUZ . The first moderators were Michael Steinbrecher and Barbara Stöckl . Later Susanne Herwig , Hermann Rheindorf and Berit Schwarz joined them.

Under the moderation of Steinbrecher there was a scandal in one of the first programs: Peter Maffay left the studio during the live broadcast after the cabaret artist Dieter Thomas made fun of one of his lyrics.

Doppelpunkt has been awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize twice. In 1989 Michael Steinbrecher was awarded the bronze Adolf Grimme Prize on behalf of the entire team for the show on the topic of My Son is Gay . In 1990, Bertram Verhaag and Claus Strigel received the Adolf-Grimme-Preis with bronze for the show with the topic Tatort Familie .
