The Predigtberg , also Hoher Predigtberg , is 892  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria . It is located in the municipality of St. Leonhard near Freistadt . There is an observation tower on its summit, the Susi-Wallner-Warte .

From the Susi-Wallner-Warte, the view extends over large parts of the Mühlviertel, the Mühlviertler Alm region , the Danube region, the Machland and, on a clear day, as far as the Alps to the Schneeberg.

Hiking trails lead up from St. Leonhard, Schönau im Mühlkreis and Weitersfelden , and the Johannesweg is also nearby.

Susi-Wallner-Warte

The first control room, a wooden structure, was built in 1931. This was badly damaged by storms and finally collapsed in 1953. In 1962, today's 18 meter high control room was built using reinforced concrete and opened by Governor Heinrich Gleißner . The waiting room is named after the local poet Susi Wallner .
