Suzy Prim , née Suzanne Mariette Arduini (born November 11, 1895 in Paris , † July 7, 1991 in Boulogne-Billancourt ) was a French actress .

Life

Prim came from a family of actors and was already on stage at the age of 18 months. From 1905 she was a partner of the famous dancer La Belle Otéro . She played at the Folies Bergère as well as on theaters such as the Théâtre de l'Œuvre and the Théâtre Michel, where she appeared in plays by Henrik Ibsen and George Bernard Shaw .

Under the pseudonym La petite Arduini, she was one of the first French actresses in films from 1898 to 1910. It only became more important here with the advent of the sound film. Suzy Prim took on very different roles, in Fedor Ozep's Rivalin der Tsarina she was seen as Tsarina Katharina II .

After the Second World War, she received only minor roles, and in 1959 she ended her career. In 1976 she was seen again in the crime thriller The Body of My Enemy with Jean-Paul Belmondo .
