Your crime was love is a Franco-German breakaway film drama by Géza von Radványi with Eva Bartok and Hannes Messemer , Lino Ventura and Laurent Terzieff in the leading roles.
action
Somewhere in the south of France, near a small town port. The three crooks Serge, Fourbieux and Kopetsky broke out of a penitentiary near Nice and want to get away from the mainland as quickly as possible. There are twelve hours left before the next ship departs. They need the three criminals in order to get the necessary identification papers with the help of the couple César, who are friends with Fourbieux, and to get escape money for a fresh start. Since they cannot run around freely without possibly attracting the attention of a gendarme, it is decided to visit Kopetzky's former girlfriend Barbara, who had received 300,000 francs from him before his arrest.
Serge should collect this amount of money from her. In the meantime, however, Barbara had to give the money to her irascible husband, the beefy photographer Blanche. She became a cold-tempered cynic in the marital prison over the years. Barbara is still ready to help the three escapees, out of old solidarity and disgust for her choleric husband. She even gets involved in blackmail by putting one of her suitors under pressure. Things will soon get completely out of hand.

Reviews
On italo-cinema.de you can read: “'12 hours of fear 'has turned out to be a really good film, which can be carried away above all by its silent, or almost sterile tragedy. In the treatise, Géza von Radványi largely saves himself from loud screams and describes the subject in a comprehensible way, also prosaically and without twists. Every now and then the tempo suffers in favor of broad-based dialogues, which are generally of very high quality. The bottom line is that this article delivers very good and, despite all the confrontation, even sensitive moments ... "
The lexicon of international films says: "Conventional gangster film with believable actors."
