Svaha: The Sixth Finger is an occult - Thriller of the South Korean director Jang Jae-hyun from the year 2019. The film is about a Buddhist sect . Netflix secured the international streaming rights and will make the film available from May 30, 2019.

Pastor Park Ung-jae heads the Far Eastern Institute of Religious Research and investigates sects and cults. He wants to warn people about scammers. In doing so, he came across a Buddhist association called Rehberg. His employee Joseph has joined the association to find out what it's really about. However, the group seems very normal and doesn't even collect money. The only thing he notices is that the group is worshiping a general. However, Park Ung-jae and his friend and student, the Buddhist monk Hae-an, find out that they are not really generals, but that the pictures depict the four heavenly kings of Buddhism . These were once ghosts, but joined Buddha and became his protectors.
According to the scriptures of this group, 81 demons called serpents will one day be born and bring unspeakable suffering to humanity. He finds out that the group's founder, Kim Je-seok, was a respected Buddhist. However, this must already be dead, since he was born 116 years ago. The police are investigating the murders of young girls. Park can find out that the teacher of the religious group trained four boys to be warriors who are supposed to kill the 81 snakes. Meanwhile, Park also learns from the Tibetan scholar Nechoong Tenpa that Kim Je-seok is said to have become Maitreya , the future Buddha, and is still alive.
Jeong Na-han is the last of the four warriors and finds the girl Lee Geum-hwa. She tells him that she has a never registered twin sister who is actually a demon. Na-han see her. When he finds her, he is convinced that she is the real Buddha.

Svaha: The Sixth Finger opened in South Korean cinemas on February 20, 2019 and had almost 2.4 million visitors.
The film received good reviews. However, according to Yoon Min-sik, the ending was unsatisfactory and, apart from leading actor Lee Jung-jae , the actors were actually wasted.
