Svante Stockselius

Stig Svante Stockselius (born December 31, 1955 in Hudiksvall , Sweden ) is a Swedish journalist and television producer, best known for his role as executive producer and supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest .

Life

Svante Stockselius grew up in Ockelbo , a small Swedish town. As a journalist he worked for the Stockholm newspaper Expressen for 16 years .

As head of entertainment at the Swedish television station Sveriges Television , he organized the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm in 2000 . He also redesigned the successful Swedish preliminary round Melodifestivalen in 2002.

In 2002 he supported the Estonian organizers in holding the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 . In 2002 he switched to the private broadcaster TV4 . From 2003 to 2010 he worked as a supervisor for the Eurovision Song Contest . On August 30, 2010, he announced his resignation.
