Sven Detken

Sven Detken (* 1959 ) is a former German basketball player . In 1980 he became German champion with Göttingen.

Life

Detken played for SC Rist Wedel until 1976 . In the game year 1976/77 he strengthened the Hamburg TB team in the 2nd basketball league . The development and winger went to study in Göttingen and played there for the Bundesliga club SSC and ASC Göttingen . In 1980 he became German champions with the team. He also competed in the European Cup with the ASC. In 1984 he moved to the second division club BG 74 Göttingen and in 1985 to MTV Geismar. Detken became a specialist in internal medicine, hematology , internal oncology and palliative medicine . In 1997 he opened a practice in Northeim , which was run as a group practice from 2004. In 2015 the practice became part of Helios MVZ Südniedersachsen GmbH and Detken became the medical director of the medical care center, as well as chief physician in the oncology, hematology and palliative medicine department of the Helios Albert Schweitzer Clinic Northeim. Detken has been the Medical Director of the Asklepios MVZ Onkologie Barmbek in Hamburg since 2018  and is a member of the steering committee of the Asklepios Tumor Center Hamburg (ATZHH).
