FC Magdeburg and moved to VFC Plauen. After only one year at VFC Plauen, he went to the Landesliga Sachsen to SV Einheit Kamenz for the 2008/09 season and managed to stay in league with this. In 2009 he switched to SG Blau-Gelb Laubsdorf , with whom he played for three years in the Brandenburg League . In the 2010/11 season, Kubis was the top scorer in the Brandenburg League with 32 goals. In 2012 they made it to the top league as champions, but were immediately relegated after a year.
